ATLANTIC TURFGRASS RESEARCH CENTER (ATRC)

      The ATRC is located at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, Truro, Nova Scotia. It contains a 5,000 ft² USGA sand-based research green having a uniform 1.5° slope. This green was originally established in 1994-1995. Below are some pictures showing the site being built.

     This green was seeded to three cultivars of bentgrass (Penncross, L-93, and G-1) in the fall of 2003. The seeding was performed in three equal bands across the short axis of the green, shown below with red lines.
